How does it work?
We offer Boutique Whitening, which is a safe, fast and effective way to whiten your teeth at home. We will first create custom-made whitening trays for you which fit your teeth perfectly, and then provide you with a whitening kit, containing 4 syringes of whitening gel. We will show you how to apply the whitening gel and provide you with a bespoke guide and log book.
How long will it take?
This depends on the initial shade of your teeth - however, you will start to see the effects after 2-3 days, and expect to be finished in 2-3 weeks.
How many appointments will I need?
You will need two appointments - the first to take impressions for your custom-made whitening trays, and the second to fit these trays and provide you with the kit and make sure you are confident in using it. We usually recommend a free-of-charge whitening review when you start using your last syringe of whitening gel.
How long will my teeth stay white?
A huge benefit of our home whitening treatment is that you keep the whitening trays at the end of your treatment, and we can supply you with top-up whitening syringes. This means that if you look after your trays, you will always be able to maintain the new bright shade of your teeth! Most patients find that wearing the whitening trays for a few hours (or one night) every 2-3 months maintains their new, brighter shade. Each top-up syringe costs £27.50 and will last for multiple top-ups.
Does the tooth whitening process hurt? Can it damage my teeth?
No, not at all - minor sensitivity does occur in some patients but there are many different ways in which we can help you with this. This whitening technique has been used for over 40 years, and during this time, nobody has damaged a tooth as a result of their whitening treatment.
Can I just buy a whitening kit from the supermarket? What's the difference?
Whilst you will see many shops advertising tooth whitening kits (including whitening strips), tooth whitening can only legally be offered by registered dental professionals. As a result, any whitening kits bought from a non-dental professional do not contain the safe chemicals used in traditional whitening treatment (as sale of these is restricted to registered dental professionals), meaning these have not been certified as safe and research has shown that these can actually cause damage to your teeth.
